Danielle Baumgardner is a nationally respected field hockey coach, educator, and mentor with a track record of developing competitive athletes and high-character leaders. She is the founder and owner of The Collab Field Hockey LLC, a year-round training and mentoring program serving over 80 athletes and families with personalized development plans, recruiting guidance, and elite-level instruction.
Danielle brings over a decade of coaching experience across collegiate, high school, and club levels. She served as the Head Field Hockey Coach at Saint Louis University from 2016 to 2020, where she led the Billikens to their most successful seasons in over a decade, earning multiple Atlantic 10 Player and Rookie of the Week honors, and recording landmark victories, including the program’s first win over a Big Ten opponent since 2001.
She also served as Assistant Coach at both Saint Louis University and Saint Francis University, where she was deeply involved in recruiting, practice planning, fitness programming, and game analysis. Danielle held the role of Director of Coach Development and U19 Head Coach at Central Penn Field Hockey Club, overseeing curriculum design and professional growth for nine teams and six coaches.
In addition to her collegiate and club coaching experience, Danielle has coached at various national-level events including the National Futures Championship, Nexus Championships, and international coaching tours. She also led varsity programs at Red Land and Donegal High Schools and contributed to multiple premier college showcases and camps.
A two-time NCAA National Champion and four-time Final Four participant as a student-athlete at the University of Maryland, Danielle understands the demands and rewards of high-performance sport. She holds a Master of Sports Chaplaincy from Liberty University, a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiological Sciences, and multiple coaching certifications through USA Field Hockey and the FIH.
Through The Collab, Danielle empowers athletes not only to sharpen their skills, but to grow in confidence, character, and leadership — preparing them for success on the field, in the classroom, and in life.
