Based in Central Pennsylvania, The Collab offers small group training and personalized support rooted in a philosophy that puts the person before the player. Our coaching is athlete-centered, principles-based, and driven by quality and care—with a vision to empower young women both on and off the field. Danielle Baumgardner is the founder of The Collab Field Hockey, LLC and a former NCAA Division I head coach with over a decade of experience developing athletes at the collegiate, high school, and club levels. A two-time national champion as a player at the University of Maryland, Danielle has coached at Saint Louis University, Saint Francis University, and Central Penn Field Hockey Club. She specializes in athlete development, NCAA recruiting guidance, and coach education, helping players grow in skill, confidence, and character.

Our daughter has been attending small group lessons at the Collab from the beginning. Coach Danielle’s small group lessons are the best. Coach Danielle assigns players by skill - not necessarily age. At registration she asks her players what they would like to work on during sessions and tries to develop her lessons to meet those goals. Coach Danielle also continues to encourage players throughout their middle school, high school and college seasons and offers feedback during lesson times. We appreciate and value the guidance Coach Danielle provides.

The Collab is thrilled to announce the arrival of Baby Boy Baumgardner, who joined us on October 11th. Both Coach Danielle and baby are doing well, and we’re celebrating alongside the Baumgardner family as they welcome their newest little team member!
